desktop display upside down

This is a really funny prank to pull on your friends if they have an XP computer. To turn the windows display 180 degrees (or upside down) simply press Ctrl-alt-down arrow. To set it back simply press Ctrl-alt-up arrow. Note: this only works on XP and it depends on your graphics card.

ctrl-alt-left and right rotate it 90 degrees. Since I have those bound to switching between workspaces on my laptop (I run Linux), it is very common for my screen to accidentally rotate at work where I have to use Windows because I think "Firefox, left!" due to how I arrange tasks on my workspaces.

Thank you so much! I thought my laptop was fatally ill! My 7 year old was playing a game on it when it happened and I had no idea what she had done!

Here is a solution to the problem. As far as I know this only works on certain version of windows XP and it may depend on your graphics card. On the desktop, right-click and select Graphic Options --> Rotation --> Normal.

Hello computer kid!!! Thank you so much for the information,...last night my cat walked over my keyboard and the next moment everything was turned upside down. I thought something was terribly wrong. I was going to call tech support. You saved me time and money,...Thanks a ton!!!

Once again, an "undocumented feature" in Windows. I couldn't find this in any list of shortcuts on the Windows site. Thanx a million

Thanks a lot! My kitten just pulled that stunt on me when he stood on my keyboard. Thanks to you, I was able turn it the right way up again.
